What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I cleaned a set using a carpet/upholstery handheld vacuum cleaner. It took a little work, but cleaned them up great.

 

No, made sure right and left in proper position, stock tires 265 70 R16, 37in passenger and 36 1/2in driver from fender to floor

Since I went with Dakars and @ARCHIVE hammer hangers, the icon 2.0 resi’s weren’t gonna cut it. So until I can afford an @ARCHIVE shock relocation kit and some king 12” smoothies, these will have to do. 3 1/4+ more inches of travel on the rear shocks now. Gotta give him credit, I got the idea off of @EatSleepTacos truck.

 

Its called Taco Lean. Happens mostly because all the heavy stuff is on the drivers side, i.e. gas tank, some other stuff. a .25" spacer plate on the driver's side shock will usually make it sit level.

 

Are you gonna run 2.0 or 2.5 smoothies? If 2.0 you could do bamf kit as it's a bit cheaper. Also don't forget you need new brake lines!

 

Installed some @RedlineTuning hood struts.

 

Not sure, if I’m gonna do it, I’ll go all out and do 2.5’s. I’ll check them out. Extended lines are on my list to do next for things that aren’t too expensive.

 

Did this a few months back, I recommend throwing your overloads back in. There is zero difference in ride quality.

 

Noticed pics of your truck in the 6112 thread @Bigpat_ca and think it turned out great! Know you mentioned you wished you opted for bigger tires, I was curious what tires you're running on the 4th notch and any hub to fender measurements?

Thank you! Not bad guesses. The top pic is a couple miles from my property in Mosier, Oregon. It’s east of the cascade crest and botanically very similar. Bottom pic is still in Oregon, but barely. Deep into the Kalmiopsis Wilderness, maybe 20 miles from the California border. The burned vegetation is from the Klondike Fire, which burned what came back from the Biscuit Fire.
