    I don’t wish a 1k non fix it ticket on anyone for exhaust. But I’ve got a Flowmaster so I was wondering if the cops are gonna target any kind or mainly the rice burners.

    From what I understand it’s an 1824 and it’s targrting any loud exhaust that’s not considered stock. Still seems to be the 95db level though

    What's an 1824? and what do they mean "not considered stock," sounds like they're outlawing any aftermarket exhaust?

    Is the officer going to measure the dB level before giving the ticket? This sounds like a lot of bullshit to me...

    Sorry ab 1824. He writes the ticket then you take it to the state referee who from what I understand will be a prick and go over every detail of your car. If he sees something he dosent like it gets worse from there. But there he will test the dB, if it’s under the limit ticket is dismissed. If not, good luck.

    But In essence they just outlawed any aftermarket exhaust.

    They've had similar things for years. Cant quote the vc number offhand but theres statute that if the police suspect your emissions system is compromised (Smells, Smoke, noise) they can send you to the refferee for a similar vehicle check. Not a $1,000 fine though it can tie up your smog/ vehicle registration.

    Its sad they are doing this to target car noise when theres 100+db harleys blasting around from bar to bar across town.
