Diamondback Tonneau Cover Group Buy - Round 3

Back by popular demand, we are excited to offer another group buy on the entire line of Diamondback covers.

Diamondback tonneau covers are built in the USA, constructed from aluminum modular panels that have a weight capacity of up to 1600 pounds. Covers are offered in two finishes, bright aluminum or an especially durable black spray-on finish. With dead bolt style, steel lock rods, neoprene gaskets and stainless steel hardware, the Diamondback Cover is built to last and supported by a limited lifetime warranty.

Line-x is just what they call the back finish coating, right? Or is it some special 3rd option compared to black coat and uncoated silver?

 

Correct, they only offer two finishes, black and the bright aluminum. The black is the Line-X finish, it's the same material they use to spray in truck beds.

 

Just a thought, does the group buy only apply for the Tacoma? Or can we include other vehicles too?

 

Other vehicles would not be a problem. It may change your retail price, depending on the bed length, but it would still apply. If one member has for example two vehicles, I'll even count it separate for the list. Help make sure we hit the top discount.

 

just curious...any reason for the price increase from round 2 of the group buy in the current price breakdown?

I see some pics of the line-x on the diamondback website with black hinges and others with silver hinges and searching around here for past threads, the line-x covers were coming with silver hinges. Is that still the case and if so, will it void the warranty if we paint the hinges to match the line-x coating?

 

I contacted diamondback. They said "All hardware as of middle of last year is now fully blacked out!"

 

Yes. Diamondback had a MAP price increase back last year, so while I am happy to offer the group buy, we are subject to the price increase as well.

The hinges are all black on the Line-X models now. They upgraded the anchor cleats mid last year as well too.
