Found. Early 4WD AT shifter Console or the part number to order one.

Looking for a good used one of these for a reasonable price in Gray or the part number to buy one new. (I have searched high and low for the part number)

I believe it is from a Pre 2001 4WD, AT Tacoma. I do not need the boot. Just the plastic piece.

 

This shade of grey doesn’t match the 01-04 trim but I almost wish I bought this one when I did my 4WD swap and lost two cup holders. Looks cleaner than the 3D printed add on ones.

 

I have this console in my truck and I’m considering going back to the normal one because it doesn’t fit right. It’s made for trucks without a center console and a bench seat, the other trims are molded to fit the center console mounting ears.

There’s a big gap and it’s bending the mounting ears for the center console because of its design.

 

Mind posting some pictures? I am trying to salvage the two cup holders that you lose when you go 4WD. I have never seen this adapted but thought it might work.

 

I'll grab some tomorrow. There's about a half inch gap between the console and the trim since it was never designed to have a center console mounted to it.

 

Here is the one on my truck for the manual. It's for bench seats. You can see what he's talking about here regarding the tabs. I cut off the center console tabs to make it fit

You can definitley make it work with some trimming and interior paint.

Which was a brand new one, sealed in plastic, for a 1999 tacoma std cab auto. The part number for the 01-04 model is discontinued. Only other option is ebay/junkyard.

This one came in the gray/blue color, but as you can see, you can get paint to match fairly well.

That looks sweat. I was expecting a total hack but that i can live with and do not loose my cup holder. Not a cheap part though at $101.

does the new part come with the angled bracket for the coin holder section? the reg cover is flat in that area

 

I do not know yet. I have not taken possession of the part but now know what to go get. From the thread i posted above i would say no but then i am not totally sure what bracket you are referring to.

 

Sorry to hijack, but I'm looking for the same thing, but in Tan / Oak color.

I also only need the plastic and the metal brace, but will take the whole thing.
