I don’t know yet but I just pulled the trigger on one from Amazon. I’ll see where it fits once it gets here. But I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions or had already done it.

If youre wondering whats under the grey plastic cap, theres sealed-ish wires, a pressure switch if u got the auto, and thats it.

Dont be afraid to take apart your 400p. Its self contained under there.

I just cut off the clamp end and put an anderson plug on it and have one inside the hood right by the grill.

Just was annoying with the clamps. Don't see a point in hard mounting it. Only time I'd do that is for air lockers.

Edit.. I see it’s for both the mount and compressor.

You can get a cbi for the ARB twin under hood passenger side mount for $89

You pay a premium to be Overland lol.

I find the bag the viair came with to be fine. Toss it behind the seat and done.

I don't think it's as good of a compressor as the ARB to be permanently outside the vehicle

Excellent point. And a 400 is over kill for a taco on less than 37s. I ran an 88p for 35s and it did 7 rigs in a row without hitting its thermal shut down.

Yeah I just edited my post, it’s for both the mount and compressor

Why do you want to hard mount it?

Plugs a nice touch. I need to get a tray for mine. Lost one little rubber foot so it doesn't sit level anymore. Dor 60 bucks the 88p cant be beat. It's slow on high volume tires and the only reason I bought a 400 was I went to 37x13.5r17 but even then that was slow. For that kind of volume CO2 is king.

I’ve been looking for a similar plug. Where did you pick it up?

For refference, those connectors can handle 60amps.

Local place .They're called Anderson plugs. Google could find them for you locally.
    These are different

With 14 gauge wire? No where close to rated for 60amp.

The Anderson plugs I used are rated at 50amp.
The supply wire is 10 gauge. Fused at 40amp for inrush.

The connectors can handle 60. The 14g is up to 40. You can also get them 12g for the full capacity
