Some of us live in places where it snows hard and we get ice. We have chainsaws, generators and alternative heat sources.

Plus are country-smart enough to have plenty on hand to survive being stuck.

I lived in Cincinnati for 42 years, winter happens. Always got a laugh at the panic at the grocery stores at the slightest chance of snow.

Kinda the same in FL. if there's a chance of a hurricane. Can't find a case of water, pack of batteries, and plywood depending on the storm.

You guys want a good laugh... visit GA during a snow.
Its like armageddon around here. These idiots crash when it just rains. You cant fathom the level of stupidity on the roads down here when a snowflake falls from the sky.
I came from the Northeast and have been driving in snow for 35+ years... never saw anything like GA drivers before.

It has not snowed since we got our first snow of 2 inches last Thanksgiving here in Chicago. The plow trucks are out plowing and salting the one inch of snow we got so far.

I lived in Dalton Georgia in 1977 and you are right about Georgia drivers. I saw an ice storm there and watched people spinning out because they didnt slow down several times. I was only 18 at the time and knew better.
My brother who grew up in South Carolina had 2 cars in the same wreak during an ice storm there a couple years ago. His wife got caught up in a multi car crash on icy roads and my brother crashed into the police cruiser that responded when he tried to help her in the same crash.
Right now here in Ohio it is snowing again. My Tacoma is covered with salt and I want to wash it but it is to cold.

This is normal for us. 3X this amount would cause me to prepare a bit. This amount is business as usual.
