I’ve been excited since they announced it, then it made things worse when they pushed back the release. Can’t wait to pick it up on my way home from work Friday.

Yes, great games and highly underrated. Will definitely get this one, but I've still got a pile of games to work through . . .

Well, I am totally caught up in Ancient Greece. I was enjoying RDR2 and Forsaken but getting a little bored, so I cranked up AC Odyssey. Didn't really hear much about it (although IGN gave it a 9.2), and Origins isn't really that old. I loved Black Flag, and it seems that Odyssey is a combination of that and Origins. I've got tons of hours into it now and still have at least half the map that I haven't even been to yet. Each new place you visit has a different feel, and as always, the historical/mythical aspect of things is always educational. And, it's got lots of humor thrown in. I haven't even added any of the DLC stuff. Highly recommended if you like the series/style of game, especially if it goes on sale.

    Just started now RDR2.
Got it for Xmas but I was deep into witcher3 at the time so I had to wait.
Super stoked to finally start it.

Started this up over the weekend. It's a bit rough around the edges, and it has taken me a bit to figure out how to actually play the game, but I finally settled in. The dialogue can be a bit cheesy, and it does not hold your hand, but I am enjoying it now. It looks great, albeit gloomy. Jury is out on whether it is worth full price. If you get it, be sure to use the Quick Save feature -- it auto saves, and it can save at odd times and leave you in a situation where you just die over and over again. Rather than loading the last auto-save checkpoint, you have the choice of loading your last Quick Save if you have one -- or you just have to start the whole chapter over.

    Has anyone played
    Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice?

Looks legit. I recall us talking about it pages ago prior to the release. Anyone got a review?

Wrapping up RDR2 and I’m scouting for my next game.

I considered, but it's from FROM Software -- the guys that did Demon Souls, Bloodborne, etc. Very hard games and you die A LOT. But, really good games as well, I just prefer adventuring more than spending hours trying to get through a single small area.

Finished Metro Exodus, thinking I would give it a 7.0. Beautiful game, but could have used a bit more length or possibly some side quests to fill it out some more. People that have not played the series might score it lower.

Hahaha. I haven’t played blood borne but I’ve played the entire dark souls franchise and absolutely loved it. So I’m thinking it’ll be right up my alley.

That’s funny that you happened to mention Metro Exodus because that was the other game I was considering playing. I remember watching the gameplay they released last year before its release and being pretty blown away at the graphics. Sounds to me like you’d recommend it?

I enjoyed it, kind of left me wanting for more. IGN gave it an 8.5 and make some good points about it, but I found it a bit short, and I did plenty of exploring. Dialog is a bit cheesy at times. Other than that, great gameplay, beautiful environments, and didn't run into any bugs or technical issues. If you aren't a fan of the series, I don't recommend it at the full $60 price tag, but worth it if it is on sale. But, I can think of worse things to blow $60 on.

Have it but i havent even taken it out of the case yet.
^what he said. Ive loved each game ibe played by FromSoftware
If you like dark souls you really need to play bloodborne. It was actually what i started with. Its more difficult imo. No shields, no magic (at least not like the souls games), no bows but there are guns. Id highly recommend bloodborne.

Its going to be a bit before i get to sekiro though

I’m a Microsoft guy so I haven’t got around to playing Bloodborne but I keep saying I’m going to get a PS4 so I can play all the Sony exclusive games I’m missing out on.

I’ve always played melee characters through the DS series. Magic seemed like a crutch I guess. I’m partial to running in heavy and swingin steel.
