I recently put blacked out LED Tail lights in my Tacoma. All lights work fine when used individually.
However, when the brake is applied and the brake lights up, the turn signal stops blinking . I contacted the company I got the tail lights from they told me to return them but I want them if there is a fix. Any ideas?

Thanks for the thread that is exactly my problem and sounds as if that’s just the way it is . I’m wondering Are there any brands out there that the brake light will work simultaneously with the turn signal?

I have been looking at these and it looks like they are set up so the turn signal is independent.

Would they wire in just as easily or would something need to be modified for the separate turn signal? Thanks for all your help btw.

    You're welcome

Yep they are plug and play according to description and looking at the pics I would say ya they look pretty plug and play. So the eBay ones are branded vipmotoz but they are most likely Spyder Auto because if you check out this website they have 3 different colors..

I’m definitely going to check into these! I will be removing and returning what I just put in.

Is not having the side light an issue? I will try to show you picture of what mine looks like. I love the look just don’t love the idea of brake lights and turn signal not working together!

Yep those are ones I almost went with until reading about the turn signal thing. I don't think its an issue just something I'm noticing...on my stock tail lights there is very obvious side lights so vehicles can easily see the back end side of my truck etc etc

Those look like they worked when the hazards and brakes are on so assuming they will work with turn signal and brakes right? I like them! Any idea what they are?

I was also told any light kit that doesn’t have LED lights the brake/ turn signal combo will work. Was told it was because of the LED ..... anyone know if that’s accurate?

Awesome!!! Thanks a ton for the info!! I don’t really know what I need to look for. I just know I wanted the smoke tail lights and possibly in the future add the smoked headlights. One question I do have though is I spoke with an online mechanic (trying to figure out what the problem was) I was told that all LED lights would do this meaning the turn signal shut off if the brake lights are on...But aren’t the lights on this link to this website LED?

Sure thing man and ya but on these the actual Led panel is separate for the brake and turn signal. The top half only blinks and the bottom half is only brakes...probably something with resistors as well but I honestly don't know that that much.
