On third gen taco 4x4 stock the sticker is 18/22. On city driving I get more like 14-15, and highway can do 23-24.

    What is the realistic 4Runner 4x4 mpg's?

Lots of variables so YMMV, literally.

My wife's '17 SR5 4WD, stock tire size, 1" level lift, combination driving but mostly city, 18 mpg. She will see 21 on long trips of mostly freeway at 65 on cruise.

My '17 SR5 4WD, 2.5" lift, 33s, light armor (skids only), combination driving but mostly city, 16.5. I can do 19 on strictly freeway if I keep it at 65 on cruise.

My average is 18.9. City about 14-15, highway about 19-20, just depends on circumstances. I have a TRD pro, stock setup.

Same here. However once the King suspension and E-rated tires goes on, those numbers will go out the window. It's a weekend truck so I'm not worried

Mine is pretty much right on the sticker estimate. I live in a pretty hilly area.

19.6 in city and 23.5 on the highway stock tires and skinny pedal. However once 285 KO2's and Icon's go on i'll say goodbye to that...

900 mile round trip to Florida. 3inch lift 285/70/17 BFG KO2 averaged 21 on the highway going about 69-72MPH. Best trip so far usually get about 19 highway and 17 city if I skinny pedal.

That’s pretty good. Just test drove a 4Runner and the salesman wanted to warn me about mpg. Said they get a lot of people trade them in because of it. Said I wasn’t worried as my current truck gets 12, 19 if I baby ito_O

Got worse mileage in my Tacoma. Had 34s and a steel bumper while skinny pedaling and barely averaged 17

Picked mine up 3-9-2019 and I've been seeing 15.5 driving 75-80 on the highway and mixed city driving. I was getting about 17-18 with my lifted and premium gas Tacoma...

That all being said, I'm curious to see what I get with summer gas and broken in motor.
