What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Installed a 30" single row LED bar in my lower Grill on my 2014 Tacoma

 

Finally got around to installing and wiring my Stech switch system and also wired up my intensity knock offs and back up lights.

 

Looks good, what kinda light is it?

 

Drilled a few holes.

 

For anybody with the AJT Designs shift knob you’d know they stopped laser etching the TRD logo... @CBoy808 came in clutch with a high quality rubberized sticker! looks OEM!

Installed the Tacoma attic

Build a “Tacozy” kit for my future camper shell

Installed my tech deck for my GMRS radio mic and relocated my antenna with a rago mount ran the coax under the bed cap rail after adding weather stripping under them for extra waterproofing for when the shell comes.

 

Got rid of my vibes, had a slight vibration between 1st and 2nd at 15mph. Can't believe this little spacer fixed it. Also installed offroad straps and gas tank skid. Next week getting my cab mount chopped, got new wheels and tires to install.

 

The house we’re in while on this assignment doesn’t have 220v in the garage so I have to resort to truck air when using pneumatic tools.

The air compressor collects dust in the corner.


Built a coffee table out of 1x2 strips of redwood today. We’ve started making a piece of furniture at every duty station out of local wood. Made a side table out of Southern Yellow Pine from an old tobacco barn while at Fort Bragg, NC.


100+ year old wood is awesome. You can’t simulate those nail holes.





Some coarse sand followed by fine sand then compressed air from the truck again to get the dust off and it’s ready for poly.


After the first coat. Got 3-4 coats to go then i’ll Slap the legs on.



We will be moving again in a few months, not sure where, but I’m looking forward to working with some new wood.

 

Did a little front end work on my Taco today... Cleaned up, some maintenance on my raptor light MOD, and swapped out my headlights, finally.



I'll add a better before/after tomorrow when it's daylight.

I swapped out my burnt, melted and cracked (from DRL) lights with black ones.

Dude that looks so good! I just got a hold of a bunch of 1x2s and was thinking of what to do with them and most likely gonna do this.

 

where did you pick them up? need to change mine they are melted and cracked too.

It was warm and sunny, so it was a good day for a bath .

 

Finally got around to installing my Pelfreybuilt rear bumper. Just found out they are out of business. Well I guess there goes my warranty.

 

Kinda looks like you installed between the hood and hinge, supposed to go below the hinge. If not.. my bad.

 

It's on toptof the hinge I noticed that myself after iItook the pic and uploaded it an have since fixed it... Here's a night shot
