just added the hidden bumper light bar. Install calls for removal of the radiator air deflectors.

What do they do? Pros and cons to removing them?

Think it means the pieces on the sides that funnel the wind into the radiator.

Pretty basic I guess? I do see how a lot more holes are open now on the side of the radiator into engine bay. Guessing more dust at what not?

If you are on a trail behind another truck..... especially in the desert the dust is getting everywhere regardless.
I suppose it just has more to do with cooling the radiator.

It's there to concentrate the air directly into the radiator core. Without it, the air coming in just blows around that large opening. Think "path of least resistance." You can easily just cut the bottom of the deflectors off and they'll still hang on with one push rivet. I cut mine down to clear the brackets by simply scoring the panel with a razor knife and bending it until it snapped clean. I did run without them for a couple of months when I first installed the brackets, but got tired of looking at them sitting in my garage, so I put them back on instead of throwing them out.
