Plopped a topper on her. Bought used but in perfect shape! Now to paint.

 

Perhaps I’m just crazy, but your sons jacket is so bright compared to surrounding scenery it looks like he was photoshopped in. Anyways. Congrats on the topper!

Reached 20,000 miles since bought new in April 2016. Just racking up those miles.

 

Added Night Kids stickers. They’re my favorite team from Initial D.

 

Installed the winjet tails. Look pretty good I think. So far no issues.

 

What do you mean when you say "with out the garnish"?

 

Perfect, thank you. I've been wanting to wire in some LEDs under my RTT but was seeing conflicting/vague info. This is great. I've got my next project set up now.

 

The garnish is the plastic “window” that installs on the bottom center of the grille and shields the TSS sensor. There’s a part of the plastic grille that is removed and the garnish goes in its place.

 

Two bolts. That was the first thing I took off.

 

These look good on this color truck. I've got the same ones and I love them. I bought Pro style tails a while back and didn't like them much on my truck personally. I had WinJet before these and god were they a nightmare.

Nice!! Which led headlight bulbs are those? They have a really good design? These are for your low beam projectors?

Man, good luck with these dude! They look great, but I went through like three sets of these and finally gave up.

 

If I was young and off-roaded my truck I would probably not have a bed step myself.

No side LED's but from the pics in my previous post you can see the light output of both brake and reverse is good. I got mine from TacomaBeast same as @LA_Stu and I definitely recommend them for their customer service and return policies. Those guys are awesome!

I was wondering what the security cable is used for? Also I was wondering if you have any pictures of your rack system? I got the decked system about a month ago and was thinking of doing a rack system. Thanks

The Decked system has that narrow (4"+/-) gap between the back of the system and the tailgate. I've got the locks on the drawers, and I keep my tailgate locked, however I wanted to put something in there that can take up the gap and keep anybody from trying to pry open the drawers. Rotopax can fit in there, but I would prefer to have those stowed on the rack, and then I would have to worry about securing those to keep somebody from pulling those out of the bed. My traction mats generally don't fit anywhere on the rack without having to remount some stuff or mod the mounts and I don't feel like doing that. Also, the mats take up space in the garage and I have to hear about "stupid stuff for your truck" (she's jealous). So by stowing the mats in the back of the truck bed, I don't have to hear about how they are disturbing the chi of the garage and I get to add a barrier to people jacking with the drawers. While the mats wedge into the gap fairly securely, I wanted to add a little additional insurance. So I ran that cable from the tie downs at the back of the bed and made it long enough to thread through the mats. Right now I just have a pair of small shackles attaching the cable, but I could add combination locks. With the mats in the gap, there isn't much room to reach down inside the bed and detach the shackles.

The edge of the mats wedge into the overhang of the Decked system pretty well on their own.


There's the cable running through the bottom of the mats. When I open the tailgate and need to access the drawers, I just have to detach one side of the cable and either swing the mat sideways or put it up on top of the deck. With Rotopax back there, I would be moving three tanks around, which would be something of a PITA.

Yes it does. good luck with getting the torque with one of the bolts! Access is horrible but I've had mine on for over 2 years and no problems.

 

Yah I’ve heard a lot about these taillights and how shity they were but I got them as a present so fingers crossed hopefully I won’t be returning them soon.
