Get the mx4. The use of the whole bed is clutch. I have an extang solid fold and wish I had the mx4

Yeah that's the same reason I like the encore to but I'm hoping the lock won't get gaulded up with the harsh winters where I live I guess some balistol sprayed in there every once in while will keep it good

I have had an extang solid fold 2.0 tri fold for my 16 Tacoma. Been awesome. Had to take the whole thing off a few times, and takes 2 mins.

Recently had an issue with one of the clips breaking (when folded open), and flying off (one section came off onto the highway - it was a hurricane - I live on Cape Cod). Extang was great and gave me a brand new one.

Tl/dr: Love extang, expensive but worth it

Amazon has the bak mx4 for $868 w free shipping so I'm leaning towards that but I do like the functionality of the encore

I have had 3 Undercover Ultra Flex covers, loved them all and a 5 year warranty is about as good as it gets. I like how it sits flush and can be stood up to give me access to my whole bed plus the matte black looks great.

Undercover was on my short list but from what I've been told you can't use your utili track system or can you?

Don’t you lose the bed rails with the undercover though

I’d have to look better but there are 3 clamps that clamp to each side of the bed rail. I did take the sliding tie down things out before I installed it. Not sure without looking if they could even be put back on and the cover not hit them.

I had an Extang Solid Fold 2.0 for a short bit. I wasn’t thrilled with the plastic locks, and it let in more water than I wanted. I have a Retrax now, and like it much better.

Yeah, I bought the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 and I'm really happy I did. Installs super easy, you don't need to move the bed rails like other covers, and it comes off easy if you need to use the entire bed. I have almost zero issues with water getting in, too.

The rail does cover the factory rail pretty much completely. It had been awhile since I put it on and forgot about that. No big deal to me but I can see it being a no go for some.
