Lots of info on here about tires. Thanks to all for that. I have a bit more targeted question. 2wd truck that makes the trip from North Carolina to New Orleans LA once a year. But i habe to take that muddy road to get to the river kayaking a couple of times a year. I need a mostly highway AT that can get me down the path once in a while when it's muddy. What thoughts do you have? Thinking about the new Pirellis or maybe toyo ats. Need highway comfort over off road performance.

Hankook Dynapro ATM would be a great choice for you. I drove 55k miles on them and they hold themselves very well on and off road all on P-rated too. Also Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S is another great set of tires for what you want.
