Damn. I’m really jelly.

What was water temp?

What were they biting Max?

 

Shiners. Air temp was 9* at 7am, and we hit 17* by 11am.

A lot of action on tip ups. Did have some luck with rapala ice jigs. The yellow perch seem to be fond of them ..in the perch pattern.




No pics. We we're spread out over 1000' across the ice .It was a recon trip to figure a lake out. Basically it was a spring with bait and needle noses and that was it. Phone was playing the pats game in the Bob house



Btw the new Eskimo quick fish bob house and the other line really kick ass. I was down to a t shirt

Hopefully I have a better year fishing this year.... just cant bring myself to get out on the ice, OR reach into the ICE WATER

 

How come? Ice fishing is a blast. I wish it had a longer season .

 

Actually picked up a jacket today, so I can attempt to keep my temp up outside for a casual hike with the wife and mutt...

But, I have physical limitations regarding temps unfortunately.

 

I have only lived in frigid areas my entire life (except for two yrs in KY) and have only been ice fishing/drinking twice!! Also never been on a snowmobile. Pathetic

 

If you can get out on a fifty-ish day with no wind it is really a good time.
You should give it a whirl.

Keep an eye on the weather when we get together with Max.

On another note.... just got off call(well, officially @0700), and it is my first ever oncall week with no call-outs.....

 

What you TX boys don't get your "cold weather" shots as a kid? That's the secret to enjoying the winter out here, gotta be immunized

I've been once too, and it was to drink not fish. Try to get on a snowmobile though, they can be really fun, especially when riding a friends and you didn't pay 15k for it only to not snow that year. (That didn't happen to me, but seems to happen to everyone I know with one)

 

@mach1man001 planned the inaugural 2018 Waterfall Trip.

I believe he’s thinking about doing the 2nd annual.

 

Home sick today. Nothing but sitting in bed lol Imodium works wonders people!

 

A weekend of winter fun in the books! Did about 110 miles in the central NH area on the Ski Donkey Saturday, then ice fishing and the Pats on Sunday.

I think ice fishing has gotten bigger/more popular than open water fishing. I showed up fairly early and there was no place to park at Newfound Lake yesterday. Lots of people out there and it was COLD! Had warmed up to 3f when I got out there.

 

Morning all. GO PATS! That was a curb-stomping yesterday.
In other news, we're still stuck in the icebox up here...

 

The bug is just relentless right now. The Mrs has some flu. I feel a head cold coming on....had nothing to do with 3 days in a row being in the teens I swear

 

Not much better here..

Keeps rotating around the family lol. Wife is okish now and baby is getting better with antibiotics but guy pink eye too like wth give us a break lol

 

My niece was down all weekend with the stomach bug. Its all over.
Keep stressing to my kids... Keep hands clean...
