Hello taco family I want to bag out my truck and I'm going to be doing all the work myself. But I need to buy the whole air bag suspension kit but don't know if there is a specific one that I have to buy or can I just buy a universal kit? Obviously do some custom work install them. Well if anyone has any info that they can give me would gladly appreciate it.

Are you just talking about adding air bags to your current suspension?

I used the Firestone RideRite kit, they are vehicle specific. Not sure what your truck is specifically, though, and if there is one available.

im about to lay mine out there are a few ways you can go the front is tricky you can ether get a universal strut bag set up and hope it works or cut everything off that has to do with the struts and weld on a old school torsion set up and weld a plate on the stock lower control arm the rear is just like any other truck 3 or 4 link 2500 lb bags notches most bags setups are all universal just depends on which way you go with it

Yeeaaa I'm looking already ahead for a good company that sells good air bag kits and so it doesn't make a hole in my pocket.

Yea. To bag it all you really need are bag mounts in the front and do the ball joint flip. You won’t lay the frame flat unless you Z the frame in the front. Back is just whatever link kit you want. I suggest Thornton’s.com as Jason builds really nice stuff that doesn’t break the bank. I run a Slam Specialties manifold and MC.1 controller with 0 issues. Mine isn’t Z’d yet but will be doing a stock floor body drop so will be working the Z in with the BD.

I just pieced together my kit (not installed) and it cost me about $1200 for parts. I will still have to get the mounts welded.

I have bought a set of bolt in front cups for my 2003 Tacoma just like my s-10 the bolt into the top spring pocket and sits over the lower spring perch I got these cause the air struts are expensive af and I can run stock arms rear I’m fabricating a three link keeping it simple
