2 options: find written proof of his prior approval or apologize and say there was a misunderstanding lol

Gonna have to be the apology route, only ever got verbal approval in the past and even if there was written approval, trying to prove him in the wrong would only be worse for me in the long (and probably short) run. I've seen how that's worked out for others here in the past lol. Higher ups don't like being proven wrong even though they are most of the time.

Efficiency is a tough thing to develop, Management would agree with your analysis no doubt, but also wouldn't appreciate you pointing it out haha

yeah that's always the tough part. The hard part here is that we have our boss, then we have the owner of the company. Those two are constantly at odds over virtually everything, and yet we have to answer to both. Rarely do we find ourselves working on a project that both have agreed to the details on. Ultimately, the owner has to be the happiest in the end because he has the power to flush everything (and everyone) if he so desires. But, so does our boss as far as we go. It's a fine line we dance around every single day lol. Frustrating doesn't do it justice.

Oh and both of them reside in the UK so communication is rarely ever immediate, although the owner does spend about 5 months out of the year here in the states.

I never understood those, I can buy a pizza already cooked for the same price. I don't want to drive and pay just to have to come home and wait for the damn thing to cook

You can actually move the cruise over a touch and still fit the one he was talking about

I’ve watched enough barn revival videos to learn that it’s always the Carbeurator being gummed up that causes issues.

Last video I watched was a couple guys who pulled a 67’ Ford F100 out of a Pasteur that’s been sitting there since the early 80’s.
