Short bed is just fine. Too long and I put the tailgate down or use my 16 foot trailer

I've never needed that extra foot and I've hauled furniture, appliances, trash, costco runs etc. Maybe you really need the extra foot if you sleep in the back when camping or if you haul sheetrock/plywood on the daily or something like that.

That was actually a boneheaded movie but I never laughed so hard through a good portion of it. Genius

The primary reason to get a short bed (which IMHO makes the truck look like its growth was stunted as a child, especially considering how long this truck's nose is) is for the better turn radius, but if you grew up driving trucks, and are a good driver, the turn radius is nothing. To me it seems like with the SB you are trading car-like handling for a worthless bed. Why not just get a car with a big trunk then? The "Long Bed" on a Taco is still only 6 feet! And I live in SoCal where where "form over function" is the norm, and almost every Taco I see is a SB. It drives my Texan brain crazy. To each their own, I guess.

Just depends on how ones uses the bed. I don't haul much, and for camping/ offroading, short bed is perfect.

I strongly disagree. I don't haul shit except for recovery gear and my dogs. I go off-road and the shorter wheelbase is extremely handy in that aspect

Plus. I think the long beds with double cabs are ugly looking. :notsure:

Is this a bed length thread or an OVtune thread?

That early shift is why I went to 87 tune. The better 1>2 shift in the 87 tune was a bonus
