Alpine designs 2nd -3rd gen body mount relocation. Took about 3 hours. Over all amazing product! (Cut entire old body mount off with a plasma cutter then cleaning up and welding on new brackets.) Anyone looking to run bigger tires I would heighly recommend this kit other than just chopping the body mount and adding a plate, this mod will allow you to get maximum amount of tire clearance! Also comes with new and heavy duty bushings. Anyone interested is this kit for their Tacoma and looking to order a kit use code NCT at check out for free shipping!!

Quite the first post. Welcome to TW OP.

That said, when I go up to 315’s I’ll probably go this route, or a masive custom chop of the Oem one.

That body mount bolt looks pretty exposed.

easy access to bolt/bushings but still prefer the BMC/CMC route to keep the integrity of the mount in place, and also prevents the bolt area in the body from potentially getting damaged.

Just a little thing to be aware of is that there are reasons why the factory body mount sticks out the way it does. It catches exploding tires instead of letting them shoot up through the tinfoil cab and slice the leg off the driver or passenger, it absorbs impacts due to collision. It would be preferable for the replacement mount to extend out further. As it is, I would suggest that rock sliders are *mandatory* with it.

Looks super clean. I would assume it’s only NEEDED for 37s. Otherwise just doing a cmc is free (if you have the tools) and a lot faster.

Also maybe this’ll be the new cheap bumpers on eBay thread!

I really like that it makes getting to the cab bushings way easier. However, I'm a bit surprised it's not a fully boxed piece.

has anyone else done one of these? I am having some real rubbing issues, and a local shop also recommended this, but they have never done it before. Not sure I want to be a guinea pig....

They have been out for a couple of years now with 100s of them sold and being ran with no issues, if a shop is going to do it they should not have a problem with it if they have a plasma and a welder.

Anyone know if they are still around? Or if anyone has them in stock? I have tried ordering over the phone, no luck getting an answer this past week.

Yes they are still around and they do have them in stock, the owner of the company was out of town last week, I’d try giving him a call this week he should be available,if no answer leave a call back number and he’ll get back to you.

PS: tell him you saw norcaltacom’s post (code NCT) and you’ll get free shipping
