I would change my bumpers but I am leery of the effects of the change in crumple, that is how much force is now transferred into the cab resulting in whiplash, etc. rather than the bumper absorbing. All aftermarket bumpers I see state for off road use only, which is a clue imo. Toyota designs these bumpers for a reason and tests them accordingly.
Also pedestrian safety is compromised with front bumper change.

I bought my 2018 TRD Off-Road DCLB brand new in January 2018. First new truck I'd ever owned, grew up sharing a 2003 Toyota Camry with my two siblings, and drove a 2004 Ford F-150 for 3 years saving up/building credit.

Within three weeks, two moose jumped into the road from the trees in front of me (I lived in Alaska at the time) and dented the passenger side fender and ripped the side mirror clean off, $5,000 in repairs. The moose was completely fine, they're built like tanks. Anyway, I moved from Alaska back to Colorado and the 6,750 mile drive went fine. A few months later, I get T-Boned in an intersection by some douche running a red light because he was on his phone. That was $15,000 in repairs. And then just a month or two ago, I get rear ended while I was stopped at a red light because some lady's dog jumped into her lap and she didn't stop in time. Luckily, no damage to my truck but the trailer hitch messed her bumper up, and that was deserved.

Anyway, I feel you dude. Sorry to hear it!

That's why I go ARB pr TJM. They crash test their bumpers. That's why you can get a discount on your insurance for those particular bumpers.

Yeah, well the night is still young... Leaving tomorrow.
I have been coming to Atlanta for the last 17 years for work. This was just some idiot office worker. I had 2 different vehicles broken into while I lived in Charlotte.

    Interesting.

So they put it on an actual vehicle and crash test it like NHTSA does ?
    Or JUST the bumper ?
Do you have a link stating this.

Why would they give you a discount on buying an aftermarket bumper?

I had an Undercover Police car get stolen and I found it 8 months later in a tow yard. Just sayin nothing is safe. Your out of state tag is not helping.
