What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Thx for that bear...but that’s just the beginning...the tray is awesome but I don’t know the fist thing about all the products that get installed on it let alone connecting them to all of it.

 

Not a lot of splicing really. Just need two add a fuse taps. The only thing you connect to the harness that it comes with is the lights.

 

Don’t think I need a switch pro either...I have all my switches already

 

Well I guess technically I am a professional since I'm a technician and wiring is my forte. I did it myself. I'm not really even 100% happy with it seeing how I had to mount the ground block and the terminal block to the fuse box lid. I really wanted to have a plate to put them on without adding an additional fuse box like the power tray option.

 

The switch pro combines all switches into one unit.

 

If you dont plan on adding anymore accessories you can just connect those harnesses you have to the positive battery post. If you start adding more I would go with a distribution panel. You should only have to connect your lights to the supplied harness and switches. No splicing of truck wires.

It's all about planning from step one.



This is the wiring for the front and rear lights. It's the first thing I did and I wanted it as factory as possible. I make harnesses as a hobby and keeping it factory looking is my main goal.

 

Ok...yeah...looked that up and def don’t need a switch pro...but the rest of this clean up is a must...if there’s anyone out there in Massachusetts that can help with this stuff please pm me.

 

Anyone know if these power trays are compatible with the redline hood struts?

 

The switch pro is the clean up. You won't get much cleaner than that without a similar setup. It's the whole selling point.

 

But I already have all my switches I just need to clean up rats nest of wires under the hood and get one hot wire on the battery instead of 6

Unless you make a harness out of the wiring going to the switches and relays, it's going to be a rat's nest.

If that's all it is, you just need a fuse block.

But, that won't eliminate all of the relays that you have.

 

That’s it...no circuit breaker or any of the other things I see on peoples power trays
