    Would you be so kind as to detail the remote oil filter set up? That is a pain in all of our rears and seems to be a much better way to deal with the regular maintenance chore.

    I disliked having to remove my skid plate for each oil change. I decided to install a remote oil filter system on my Tacoma. I had my local parts house crimp the fittings onto the hydraulic hose.

    I would suggest only crimping one end of each hose and then dry fitting the hoses onto the adapters to determine the best angle for the other ends.

    There is an oil pressure port on the model I chose so I could have an oil pressure gauge.

    Here is a list of the parts I used.

    Oil filter relocation mount.

    Two 24" x 5/8" hydraulic hoses with 90° long elbow female JIC fittings

    Two 10 AN O-Ring x 5/8" male JIC fittings

    Two 1/2" NPY x 5/8" male JIC fittings

    Awesome - I like how you can read the oil pressure. How much extra oil does it take now - I'm guessing those lines aren't holding a ton of oil.

    Between the two lines and larger oil filter it takes an extra quart.

    Well it has been a busy few weeks. I am joining a group of fellow Arizona Tacoma owners on a trail this weekend, so I have been doing some upgrades.
    First I finished the install on my CB radio, then I added another case on my roof rack for recovery gear. Today I installed a GM CS144 alternator for more power. I still have a set of 650 coils and Marlin Crawler clutch kit that I need to install, but that will have to wait for another day.

    Looking forward to seeing that alternator installed. I've got the adapter cable for it, kida waiting for my original alt to fail first. Not showing any signs of that though.

    36" Plano Gun Guard AW Tactical case from Amazon. I used carriage bolts in the roof rack channels and drilled holes through the bottom of the cases.
