Sold: afe Stage 2 CAI 05

Selling my aFe pro dry cold air intake. It has a relatively new air filter and is clean. The inner 3” silicone coupler is worn from the hose clamp, it is still usable but will need to be replaced. The rubber isolater bolt for the air box is in two pieces and wont be included.

I cut out my wheel wells so I went back to stock with the secondary filter for some extra insurance from sucking up silt.

What all will be needed to complete it? I have a k&n. Wanting to goto the enclosed set up

last year prices were as below.
1 x 3.0" Silicone Straight Coupler, Black (SIL000617) = $6.99
1 x 4.0" Silicone Hump Hose, Black (SIL000435) = $14.99

You will need 16” of 5/32 hose, the 3” silicon coupler, and one m8 isolation bolt

I just purchased the filter this summer and does not need to be cleaned yet

Yeah you would need to find a way to schoochy the smog pump, everything else appears to be the same

 

Hmmm. Tempting. Let me contact aFe and see what they say. I’m looking to get this exact intake at sometime to get rid of the stock one and to hopefully make a few more horse powers with the SC. Iirc, this one is meant for boosted applications

 

This was the the same design as the origional trd cai before they went to a aem model iirc. Trd said to not run the aem based model with the sc i believe. I ran this intake with my trd supercharger with a smaller pulley for 20k plus and it howls.

 

Interesting. I’ve got some research to do. Why’d you pull it off? Also, how was the difference in sound of the SC compared to the stock airbox?

 

-Ive been running the truck in baja and the silt is very fine and plentyful so i want all the filtration I can get. The stock intake has that charcoal filter which is something.
-I have ripped out my inner fender liners so i just draw air from the engine bay not through the hole in the fenderwell.
-Its nice to be able to have cheap spares in the truck and to go to any autoparts stores to get new filters.
-My federwells are collapsing so getting weight off is cool and they are going to get cut out sooner or later.
