I wanted to go cheap and bought a Akaso EK7000 pro from Amazon. I was very disappointed with the quality of the videos in 1080p and 4k. The motion stabilization made the picture jumpy. I returned it and decided to just purchase a gopro. Much better picture quality in both 1080p and 4k, even without using the image stabilizer. I know in my local costco, the Gopro Hero 5 black was selling for $189. It cost more then twice as much as the Akaso, but didnt want to risk getting disappointed with the poor picture quality. I could have gotten a bad unit so YMMV.

Btw, both cameras fit in the windshield gopro mount with no problem.

I have a DP Video dashcam. My thought was I would eventually buy a more expensive dashcam, but this works fine for me.

I used some GoPro Grab Bag parts to make it fix the factory mount.

Hero 3 would be cheap now...unless you are using “go pro” as a noun replacement for “dashcam”. If the latter is the case, then you should know that a go pro isn’t the same as a dash cam.

If you want a GoPro you can get a Hero 3 Black for cheap. Hero 4 silver/black are good options, also both cheap. Hell, the Hero 5 black with voice controls is probably a nice price considering the Hero 7 is out now.

I bought a cheap Dash Cam from Ebay that fits in the go-pro mount. @most 720p quality, but it does the job.

That's a radar for cops, illegal in most states but they're nice, gives you a warning for radar guns ahead

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Radar detectors are actually legal in more states than they are not. Problem is that if the officer that stops you for anything he/she will not even think about giving you a warning. Warning tickets rarely happen when the cop sees a radar detector. I know this for a fact as I worked for a large L.E. agency for 15 years. It is usually not a written rule but a "unofficial policy" For most cops.
Moral of the story -hide em if you got-em!
Also whatever you do- DON'T try to hide it as they are walking up to your car -that may have much worse consequences!

Absolutely correct... the best radar solutions are units that intergrate into the vehicle stock systems, usually only found on high end luxury vehicles, i.e. BMW, Mercedes, Prosche, Audi, etc...
