So big things happened yesterday :D Downpipes, intercooler, BOV, exhaust manifolds, turbos and lines all hooked up! The shop loaded up the custom tune and they say that it's a blast to drive! Perfect time for the cool weather and a four hour drive home today :yay: I'll be getting a revised tune from the tuner in the next couple of days and it should be really dialed in then. Onto the good stuff now :woot:

Been driving the truck for a week and I have to say this thing is a beast! Sent over my datalog for the tuner to make sure all looks good. Based on the numbers it looks like I am putting down about 540hp at the crank which is about 440hp at the wheels which is the happy place for the Gen 1 Ecoboosts. Anything higher than 450 and the motor begins to become unhappy. Next step in the plan is to upgrade the suspension, add RCI full skids, RCI steps and a Westin Grill Guard with winch mount and then it'll be exactly how I want it :D

Well I ordered some Rancho rear shocks and the Fox 2.0 Coilovers and they came in today. I already threw the Ranchos on and it made a heck of a lot of difference already! I set the Ranchos to 5 and threw some red and tacky in the adjustment knob so it doesnt rust out. Still need to seal them to prevent rust but that'll be easy. The foxes on the hand need some work on the one coilover. I took it to a shop and they are going to compress the spring and reseat the rubber grommet on the top plate since it was coming out. Theyre going to charge me about $50 to do it so not bad. I am going to have @Texoma install them on the 9th so this will be a huge win :D

Didnt take measurements of the rear before swapping the Ranchos in but right now my ride height is:

    RR - 39 7/8"
    RL - 39 3/4"
    FR - 39 1/4"
    FL - 39 1/4"

I'm sure the Ranchos will settle a little but I think I'll be at a perfect level when the Foxes go on.

Picked up the front coilover this morning and it looks so much better and I feel safe throwing it on the truck. Also threw a coat of fluid film on the coilovers and rear shocks to help with rusting.

Took off my swaybar bar for fun until my new endlinks and bushings come in. Decided to go with Moog stuff since lifetime warranty.

Also found a huge ass boost leak on the intake pipe for the driver's side turbo. I've got blowby everywhere so now I'm waiting on the new piping to come in next week. Finally will be able to get my datalogs into my tuner and then we're gonna try out an e50 tune! :burnrubber:

Well coilovers will have to wait. Was on my way to @Texoma and the motor went. The rings probably failed and I started dumping oil and spewing white smoke everywhere. I stumbled all the way to Chris's house and now waiting on family to come with a trailer so it can make it to Dallas. I already spoke to my engine builder and he'll have a new block in 4 weeks or so. He said the block will be good for 900hp :D will never push it that hard but it's more of peace of mind that I'll never have this happen again.

Well motor has been ordered and should be at the builder in 5 days :D Then he'll tear it down and build it from the ground up! From there it gets shipped to Dallas and put into the truck. I have to say that this set back seriously sucks but damn will that motor be bullet proof when it's done :smokertransformer:

So the engine builder worked all night last night cause I think he's actually a mad scientist but completely machined the block and it's ready for assembly! He's picking up the new Ford OEM long block next week for disassembly and using the parts off of it including the heads to build my block :D gonna be a fun ride :bananadance:

Every day :( Although I shouldve just swapped it for a 3rd Gen with a Double Cab :notsure:

    BUT!

This is still a really cool project :D Now I'm stuck with it for 10 years :curls:

Wait until you see the valve covers and what it looks like with the turbos back on :headbang:

The engine builder is going to check if the turbos are ok and hopefully we dont have to warranty anything but if we do Ive got a surprise for this beast :burnrubber:
