    I don’t know what any actual benefit of that would be.

    Sounds like an odd way to ruin a wheel.

    Line-X is super thick comparative to paint, it wouldn't work as you would have to have it stop before the bead of the wheel so the tire could mount, which would then make it super weak at that edge and would likely chip/crack off easily

    You can probably buy a set of factory take-offs for the same money as Line-X your wheels. I picked these black alloys off a 2019 Tacoma on Ebay for $469.00 plus $100.00 shipping. Cost me $60.00 to have the TPMS and tires put on the alloys. And I had to buy a set of lug nuts, $20.00 on Ebay.

    Plastidip. Cheaper, and if you scuff it up on the rocks or tire techs chip it off, just touch it up.
