    If tapping off both, be sure to use a diode to prevent cross-circuit voltage bleed.

    I know Stew is aware, I say this for the other "normal/novice" folks out there.

    Tweaking the designs for the new smaller LED. I incorporated a "cone" taper which should do 2 things;
    1)Minimize any wind noise as it's more aerodynamic
    2)Help the light disperse for more coverage

    I'm really stoked for these things!

    Question: For those that have manual trucks and no proximity key, will the lights come on once the truck unlock is pressed?

    That crossed my mind, but they would be rendered useless upon unlock, or walking up to the vehicle(when you really need them IMO). Only when the door is open, and at that point I’m already in the truck.

    Now for exiting it wouldn’t be a bad idea, but you would more Than likely have to drill a hole in the bottom of the door.

    I thought this same thing when I first read about your new project. There is plenty of room at the bottom of the door and could accept a number of lights and potentially have all those custom colors or logos some want. But as you mentioned you would loose the approach aspect of the light. On the user to decide what they want, coolness or functionality.

    I'm getting testy about all the teasers. If you need another test flunky. . . .
    Meanwhile, time to check those 2nd gen map/dome lights.

    @mesojdm if it replicates the dome function, then you can turn them on anytime too when you turn on your dome lights right?
