I ran into this exact issue this week at approx 27k miles.

We have had no rain to speak of either. I’ve engaged my parking break less than previous in an attempt to keep it from sticking and do far so good.

Though that’s just a band aid for now.

I want to say that I have tried that as well. I am anal though about my e brake. My dad tought me before I could drive to never let the weight of a vehicle sit on the parking gear. I have a really hard time not using it even if it is to test out a theory. And I drove a manual the first 25 years of my driving career.

That being said, I did try it and I want to say that it did nothing to eliminate the issue.
