    2019 Tacoma Off Road
Hey all, i'm about to pull the trigger and get a new 2019 Tacoma Off Road. I've been looking all over this forum for as much information as I could, and found most of it, but still have some questions. First off, was wondering if the Offroad is the way to go? I eventually would like to put a leveling kit on it for sure, and 33's. Since the Off Road does come with the Bilstein suspension, is it adjustable? If not, whats the best suspension option to go so 33's will fit with no issue?

Im also in between the short and long bed. Plan on hauling dirt bikes a lot so am leaning toward the long bed. Anyone get a short bed and regret not getting the longer bed?

Thanks for all your help everyone. Cant wait to get the truck and start ripping it apart!

Welcome to TW, and I’d get a long bed for the dirt bikes I wish I did when I haul mine.

Welcome! and I second the Long bed statement. significantly easier to load dirt bikes on a long bed.

i've seen quite a few who complained about the short bed with bikes, and if you're hauling more than one...

but the long bed doesn't come in a MT if that's a thing for you.

I have see a video on you tube of someone who got rid of his long bed as his hitch kept on getting stuck in the dirt when offloading

You do realize that's only a looks thing, right?

No. And neither are the 5100's IMHO. They have a fixed damping setting, but multiple spring perch choices to lift via preload. Once installed they are not adjustable w/o disassembly. Adjustable in good suspensions refers to being able to adjust the damping rates or maybe adjusting the spring position on a threaded shock body.

You can actually run full 33s on OE suspension if you'll buck the wide tire fad and go with a 255 and use the right fitting Toyota wheel. No lift, cut or rub. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-skinny-on-skinny-tires.529656/

Unless you're just into looking cool, use the truck as is (or bump up the tire quality), then do your mods to correct problems you find. In real off roading these are quite capable with good tires and driver.

I've hauled dirt bikes with the short bed with no issues. It's a matter of whether you want the back tire on the tailgate or in the bed. One bike is a piece of cake, two is fine. Once the family got up to 3 larger bikes, I had to go the trailer route. But, that's a bed width issue.
