Nope. Any decent rivet gun will work. Just don’t drill too far and hit the under side of the hood

Buy a good name brand gun and you should be fine. You might want to pad any painted surfaces. Those steel rivets are tough and once the stem on the rivet breaks the gun tends to jump almost uncontrollably in whatever direction the torque was applied. After installing your first rivet you will see exactly what I'm talking about. A doubled up hand or bath towel hung from the engine compartment over the side of your fender might be a good idea at least for the first rivet. Fairly simple mod and you will be very happy with the end result.

Received and installed my Pro Grill that I received from @FreshMexicanTaco
Everything was packaged well and looked flawless! Pretty easy install but getting the clips for the existing grill undone was frustrating...broke a few just to make myself feel better!!

Leer XR, Baja Amber Fog/Cornering Lights, Cali 32" Light Lower LED, LED Interior and some exterior, Black Tip, Pop & Lock Tailgate, Redline Quicklift Elite Hood Shocks, OCD Glove and Console, TRD Pro Front Skid, Blackout tailgate and side chrome, waiting on Black Grill Moulding ($105.00 shipped)-not wanting Pro Grill, just lose the chrome, Radio Knobs from Tacowiede (TW Member) Huge THUMBS UP, Billet ABS Guards, Bed Mat.
To do's: add 20% or so to front windows, decide on some extra lighting options for the shell. Not sure about sliders, looking seriously at the BAMF's just need to narrow down specifics on degrees, PC or no, no rush on wheels-not lifting. Would like to put a flush LED work light in rear bumper, need to see a good option first and haven't yet for 3rd gens.
Would love to get a rod vault if I could find a decent used one. $400+ new is pretty insane.

Solid advice here... the steel rivets were an s.o.b. for me and my pop rivet gun... I dont have huge forearms but I could have used a gun with larger/ more leverage handles. Easy and very useful mod... measure twice drill once... use a drill stop or tape the drill bit.
