What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

At first my brake pedal felt weird. Like normally I touch my brakes and they start to register. I get maybe halfway down and I’m completely stopped. My pedal would get halfway and just start to register and I would be at the floor before I would be stopped. That happened December 29th. I stopped driving my truck until my cousin who is a mechanic for 20+ years could check my brakes. I thought at first it was me just being ignorant of brakes so I had him drive it and he was like no they need adjusted. So he adjusted my rear brakes. They needed to be adjusted and I’m talking like 20 clicks. Not just 5-8 clicks like normal. My cousin was like, next time you go in you need to let them know. This isn’t normal with a truck with as low mileage as your truck has on it. Like I said, I only drive my truck like twice since December 29th. That was once. The second time was two days later and I was on my way to work, I texted my cousin regarding the brake pedal again. It felt really weird. I jumped in my truck after work, texted my cousin that I feel like I’m going to lose my brakes or something. I barely got that out and bam. My brakes went out. The brake pedal had nothing to it. You could push it down with one finger and absolutely nothing all the way to the floor. My cousin came to tow me home and I called Toyota. It all happened so fast. So, if you EVER experience your brake pedal feeling weird take it in. Do not wait. The recall even states that is the first sign. I wish I had read the 18-19 recall prior but having a 17, I didn’t even think of it. Thankful the Director at Wilsonville Toyota fought for me and Corporate is covering it for me even though I am 2k miles over warranty.

 

Mine is a 2017. The 2018-2019 Braking System I have been told is different than the 2017s but I experienced everything that is in that recall from start to finish

 

Simply DROVE it home!

Around 150 miles on it to bring it to work for a retirement. Crappy WX hit here in Colorado so this is what I did to my TACO!

45 mile drive, tons of snow on the route home, simply got me home safely!


Brand spanking new and had zero issues!

 

Finally got my new grill on today. Took a little trimming and filing to get the TSS sensor garnish on but it came out well I think. Also put the AVS in channel rain guards on. Pretty productive hour I'd say.

 

I’ve been looking at the Corsa exhaust. Is it fairly mild sounding at idle and or light throttle? Are you pretty happy with it?

Just derp the emblems. Easy, cheap, looks good and lasts. Mine have been through the car wash ~30 times or even more. First though, get rid of the dealer sticker!

Sorry man, MD laws suck.

 

Unless your tether is broken, all you need to do is stretch your cap and pinch the tether into the clip that keeps your lid closed.

 

You could just install a couple flag mounts on the bed of your truck, put some fishing poles in there, and drive around the city and go trolling.

Fitted 295's (Cooper AT3 XLT).



The 295's hit all over the place. Have already cut a bunch of the inner fender stuff out, hammered pinch weld, etc. Performing cab mount chop over the weekend.

 

I do this and I even have a Gasshole.

 

I have the same bumper in aluminum.

 

Just need to put those bottle openers were to service.
