Actually spoke to media guy - he’s pretty cool. Article was pretty fair, Mike was just worried about getting in trouble with his leadership later on top of everything ELSE that’s going on. The reporter updated the story and it’s all good.

Working without pay is what really sucks, especially when there’s no reason the government should have shut down in the first place.

Glad to hear! I’ve had personal experience seeing the media butcher a story. Just being extremely sloppy with facts.

Oddly enough, the IRS website had no problems taking my $7K on 1/15:

Morning ATX. At HF right now surrounded by Jeepers. Probably 50+ people ahead of us to get into the park.

Scary times for that kind of stuff. Video editing technology has gotten so good and so cheap that before we know it, nobody will know what is real and what is not. It’s quite sad. And I’m not saying main stream media is going to do that, but people with bad intention. Make a video of a political leader saying something against another country ending up in war. It’s just scary.

I think rooftop tents are gimmicky. Very expensive, terrible for gas, top heavy, and if you have dogs, very impractical. And who wants to crawl down a ladder in the middle of the night if you have to pee? Then there’s the issue of you can’t set up camp then go drive into town, go off-roading, etc. you’re stuck carrying your tent around. Idk, not for me. I could never see paying more than $800 for one, than you Smittybilt. I don’t understand how people justify $3-4,000 on a tent. It’s a tent! You could buy a decent teardrop trailer for 4 to 5k.

Just drove by there about 45 minutes ago and I bet I passed 20 Jeeps along the way. I did see a white lifted Tacoma just as I had passed the main entrance. Was wondering if they were headed in.

Thought the same thing. Picked one up for $300. It’s amazing.

It has its pros Nd cons. The staying parked all day is the biggest. Idk though man first night in one was so nice I figured it was worth it

Everybodys got their own needs and styles when it comes to camping gear.

What works well for some isn't for others and it's all about the enthusiast who is spending the time and money on their setup.

If it's in the 70s at night and the ground is dry all I need is a sleeping bag
