    This is a little expensive but very versatile. I like how it packs up to nearly nothing. Having the top setup and used for storage is a slick idea. I would even bet you could get someone else to go halves with you and split them into two.

    This one is cheaper and I bet super comfy. It's just going to take up more room packing it in the bed of the truck. I'd likely keep the box or try to find some sort of canvas bag to put it in for transporting.

    Good point B! There use to be Sunny's Surplus stores all over. Not sure what happened to them.

    An army style cot has those wooden legs. If you're not careful they can puncture the tent floor sinking into soft ground underneath. You can take 3 2x4s and make recessed holes for the legs to fit into. Then you have a more stable cot. The cot and 2x4s all pack up nicely.
