Shoveled the heavy wet slop at about 6:30 this morning... only to have it rain like hell so it would have been washed away anyway. What a waste of effort!

Shoveled a path from door to street, treated it to not freeze. Sent text & photo to next door neighbor telling the cheap bastard to remove the chunk of his tree laying across my driveway. Keeps telling me to leave the tree, he's going to cut it down but won't spend the money to cut it down & won't let me have it done. Cheap bastard. So I'm trapped until I deal with his problem. Going to let the ice coated snow sit until Monday. Then I'll clear the drive. No point with the flash freeze coming tonight, clean up today will only make more problems tomorrow. If I have to deal with that tree tomorrow I just may leave it across his driveway, tired of doing his yard work. Yes, I can be that petty, it's principle at this point.

 

Too wet to paint. Won't dry with high humidity. ;-)

Got a chainsaw? We can come over and just lay the tree across his lawn and leave it. Pie it & fly it as they say

 

Called him tonight. Didn't answer. Called him from a different # & he answered & we had a long talk.
he's busy - works 8 hours a day! ...didn't know ….didn't call back because he had to go to work (several hours after I texted him) ...going to cost $7,000 to cut down tree - can't find anyone to do it for $6,000 ….blah, blah, blah.

Yawn.

Tree limb is full of rot, I knew it, he knew it, the visual proof is laying across my driveway. Next time something comes down may be the tree on his house or a car driving under it on the street. Told him that. Told him I need to leave for work at 7:30am, come get it after work at 11pm. Said he will. Done.

Guy makes rental income -profit- per month that would cover taking down that tree. Cheap bastard. Going to get someone killed & say "I didn't know".
Like I say - done. I'll call an arborist, get his tree limbs hanging across the property line removed. I'll get his tree that keeps dropping nuts on my driveway cut down too. Life is short, can't take your money with you. Get 'er done, move on.
