I wanted a TRD OR, but it just wasn’t within my budget unless I bought one with a rebuilt title.
I was able to get my SR5 for $24,300 with 40k miles on it. I love this truck- I just want a decent rear end. I come from a rallycross/drifting/autoX background, so I hate open diffs with a passion, lol.

I don’t want to spend $2k plus on an air locker and have to deal with onboard air either. I was thinking about just getting an LSD, like a Detroit truetrac. I figured I’d switch to 4.30’s while I’m at it.

Anybody have any experience/input with this?

No man but I have had trucks with open diff, rear locker, auto lsd by using traction control, and a Ranger FX4 level II a mechanical limited slip... I liked the Torsen mechanical limited slip on my Ranger best
