So i've been seeing people post that they spent anywhere from high 20- mid 30's for their taco. Trd OR, sport etc. I was curious how the prices are at the local toyota dealer and this is what i found:
    Screenshot (23).jpg
Wtf is going on here? after taxes thats 67k for a trd OR (15% tax in NL). Am I losing my mind? This is also the only TRD OR they have on their site.

Wouldnt ever happen. Either gonna look for a gently used 2nd gen or have to go with either a ranger or fronteir if im buying new. I'm seeing these all over town and they're in the price range of a f150 king ranch. Im really disappointed.

That’s some next level dealer mark up. I got mine for 39K and most double cabs here go for 42-44K range.

Looks like a half assed job updating their website. The picture is clearly not an Off Road based on the wheels, and the colour says VooDoo Blue, so the price is probably for a TRD Pro, which they have clearly labelled incorrectly. My local dealer does this all the time. They once had a used 2016 4Runner for like $18000, but had it listed as front wheel drive. It was actually a corolla. o_O

Remember our dollar ain't worth a crap. We have to spend approx. $1.35 to get one American dollar and We are taxed higher so if you do the math our prices are probably close to the American prices . I do agree that we don't have the choices Americans do with option packages.

    $58650 Wow!
With what I paid for my 17 Tacoma SR I could have bought 2 for that price and had about $12000 in change. I think I am done with any further new car purchases. They have reached the point that they are not worth owning anymore. I work at a Ford dealership and see F150s going for $75000 and Rapters about the same. I keep thinking these prices are a getting close to being a house payment. You live in your house when its paid for but where is your your $58650 truck in 10 - 15 years and what will it be worth then ? Homes tend to appreciate in value. Tacomas do hold their value to a point but really?
In 87 I bought a new Mazda B2200 SE5 for $7800. In 93 I bought a new Ford Ranger Splash for $12000. In 01 I bought a new Chevrolet S10 LS for around $12000. Do you see where I am going with this? Those prices were reasonable.

First of all that price is for a TRD PRO. Today, CAN$ 58,650 equals to USD$ 44,200. Toyota US site lists a TRD PRO (AT) with a msrp of US$45,365.
