    I noticed that my trailer's right tail light remains on when the taco is shut down. There's 12 v power on the pin that is at 6:00. Anyone know what's going on with that?

    These are not standard. I went crazy trying to troubleshoot and realized this later.

    Could be 12v AUX in wrong place, or even reverse lights.

    Could just be running/ parking lights.
    If my lights are on my tail lights are lit up, if I apply the brakes/ turn signal they get brighter.

    Thanks for the responses. Using a test meter I've determined that the pin at 6:00 is always hot (12v DC). I don't think the curt tester will give any additional information. The short with the auxiliary (pin at 4:00) is an interesting possibility. Does anyone know if that lead should be hot when the truck is shut down or should it be live all the time. It's live when the truck is running now and dead when the truck is shut down which is the way I think it should be. If that's correct, then seems to me the pin at 6:00 can't be shorted to it. If it's a short, I'm wondering where to look for it. Worked fine a few weeks ago.
