Where do you live though? Less dense air in like in CO or NM can make all those pinging issue go away.

The bit of altitude helps a lot, those at 1K or lower feel the ping. Just going from PHX ~1100ft to Camp Verde ~3200ft removes all the pinging that my SC does without meth injection

    Welp....firestone has lost my business.

I did have some play in my UCA.....two 19s were able to tighten that fucker down. I still have a clunk up front and its starting to bug me.

Anyways, picked up my truck this morning and decided to ghost ride the whip in an empty parking lot (ok not really, drove with my door open) the noise is coming from the rear driver side wheel. Went home and jacked the truck up, put it in drive to see what was going on. Passenger side was moving. Driver side, not so much. Went back to fiFirestone and told them. Got a senior tech to ride with me. He was more intrested in fishing and my offroading than my truck. He said, sorry we cant help you. You a have a diff problem. And proceeded to talk fishing. So a buddy of mine just got a shop and its now there. I guess we shall see. I drove it from sac to wsac on the freeway with no issue at all. Its only at slow speeds when you hear the noise.

Maybe time for 5.29s i guess. Trying to stay posive here

What part of CA? I'm down in LA so I'm pretty close to sea level, I do notice that I have next to zero pinging issues when I gain altitude going up into the mountains most weekends.

If you're in the SoCal area you should come wheel with us sometime

Passenger side wheel has play? How did he conclude it was a diff problem? I wouldn't trust Firestone to do anything except maybe alignments, and even then most of the ones around here suck at doing that.

Nice, me and a couple other guys were just out there yesterday lol. Ran Heartbreak Ridge, starts over by Yucca/Pioneertown and ends up near Big Bear. Sometimes I take a similar route from Hesperia out in the desert up into BB.

Might run into issues with the supercharger come spring/summer when it starts getting really hot out there, these superchargers get heat soaked very easily. That can bring on the pinging too. This is my favorite time of year, the blower loves the cooler weather

My Rear King 2.5" with resi just came in so getting ready to have them installed.

When I first put on my King Fronts and Dakar leafs, the measurements were as follows:(Center of hub to fender flare):
    23.75" driver's front
    24" on passenger front
    24.25"driver's rear
    24.75" passenger rear

It has been about 12 weeks and the measurements have changed quite a bit:
    22" drivers front
    22.5" passenger front
    23" drivers rear
    23.5" passenger rear

The on-road ride is actually no smoother than what it was stock which surprised me to be quite honest.

With that being the case, I have 2 options.

    OPTION 1: should improve ride
The first is to remove the 3rd leaf to soften it up.By doing this it should drop the rear by about 1/2 " on both sides
From there, I would need to raise the drivers front by 1/2 inch

From my less than stellar math that would leave me at the following measurements:
    22.5" drivers front
    22.5" passenger front
    22.5" drivers rear
    23" passenger rear
(still has lean of 1/2 inch)

OPTION 2: would make ride rougher yet.
Leave rear leafs as is and raise the drivers front up 1" and passenger front up 1/2" which would leave me the following measurements:
    Drivers front 23"
    passenger front 23"
    Drivers rear 23"
    Passenger rear 23.5"
(still has lean of 1/2 inch)

would love some insight or opinions on which way to go

Well, that went SO much better than I thought it would.

About 5 minutes with a Dremel reinforced cut off wheel and 10 taps with a cold chisel.

My truck wasn't a stock 4WD so I didn't get the yellow bilsteins. Maybe that's why my OME shocks/coils were such an upgrade over stock.

You could get the kings re valved more custom to your liking. What weight spring are you running on the coilovers?

Whatever you do I wouldn't raise the front if you don't have to...another inch worth of preload on your Kings will make the ride way stiffer in the front. How much front lift do you have with them now?

Surprised to hear the Dakars are stiff...when I had them the only thing I liked about them was how smooth they were, even with an AAL added they were smoother than the Expos I have now. The All Pros are pretty stiff but they hold weight much better than the Dakars did.

I was getting roughly 3" of lift initially but it has already dropped to just 1.5" up front. May need to increase coil weight to get a little more lift without pre-load
