    I just tried this on my new battery. The old battery measured 12.8v under no load, I didn't take a load test reading before turning it in for the core deposit. The Northstar is 13.3v under no load, vehicle off. With my 80w headlights on it drops to 12.9v. Needless to say it is far an above the 12.5v good rating, even with the increased load from over wattage headlights and under load still has a better rating than my old failing battery did at rest.

    The upper washer may squeak since it’s metal on metal rubbing. I did the same thing when installing and shortly removed the top washer.
