I have a pack of those too, but honestly, they are unopened. I use my cheap ones for interior cleaning and for when I silicone the door seals. When I wax my truck next, I'll break out the good CG ones.

    yep
sometimes I'll do one with spray on and one without and follow over if it leaves any streaking on some of the stuff like the head unit or dash cluster.

Dawn and a garden hose, in the winter hot water in the heated garage and an old towel to dry it off before it freezes. Some sort of comercial blue stuff we used on the cop cars vinal/plastic/tires can't remember the name too cold to go and look. There are too many products out there beaging for your money and they basically are the same damn thing different color.

I use windex for my glass and this stuff for everything else but the seats ...
    Griots.jpg
Also I use paper towels for everything except the instrument panel. It is made of the cheapest plastic on earth and scratches instantly. I spray a healthy amount of Griot's on it, let it sit for 15 seconds and then use a soft, 100% cotton hand towel to gently wipe it off, using as few strokes as possible. The first time I cleaned that thing I used a paper towel on it and immediately stopped after one wipe because it instantly got little micro-scratches on it. Word to the wise. Be careful with the instrument panel.

Edit: I like this stuff because you can use it on anything, and its not greasy like armor-all, and its not shiny.

Dawn dish washing detergent will strip off any sealant or wax that has been applied. It’s ok to use before you apply any wax or sealant, but not on a regular basis.

    Save it for your dishes.

That guy is just trying to be funny and not at all helpful. I'm not dumb enough to use dawn soap and whatever other nonsense he was spewing.

Get this I apply it with a boat brush too. Think about this asphalt is a petrolum base the roads are full of oils, dirt, salt and acid rain, they wash oil soaked birds with Dawn. Some how a table spoon or two of Dawn in a bucket of water is going to remove wax? Not a chance. People wash their $750,000 boats with a soft boat brush and I can't used it on a truck? Twice a year the truck gets waxed spring and fall I would send a picture I'm slightly anial about the truck looking good but right now it's covered with ice and salt and it's 3 below. Sorry I have no use for designer car wash soap and I defy you to show me the difference, if my truck looked like crap then you would have a point.

Show me where I said you can’t wash your truck with “soft boat brush”. Never said that. You can wash your truck with whatever you like.

There’s a website called autogeek. They have a forum, check it out. Professional detailers.

    303 interior plastic.
Hand wash only on the exterior (with a variety of detailing products). 303 on tires.
    Invisible Glass on windows.

I run it thru the car wash at Sheetz and two, maybe three times a year I vacuum/dust the interior really well.

    Don't over think this.

    I know, I know!
I bought my truck and it lives outside all year round. I only wash it a few times a year. I care more about the undercarriage than the overall appearance of the paint etc. It's why I bought a truck.

I use a high quality touchless wash close to my home - my driveway is a steep hill so "washing" is a PIA at home. That's just to get the dirt off though...

McQuires Quik Detailer - after every wash, with a microfibre. Every couple of weeks I'll add a bit of their Fast Finish on top of the detailer. Then about every 6 months or so I do a clay, polish, wax, seal treatment but it's actually been about 9 months since I've done it this time and the truck looks great...
Aerospace 303 for all black trim, mudflaps, pro grill, etc., - even good over black powder coats on Prinsu and my steps
Armor All glass cleaner spray - I've tried many different glass cleaners and this may be the only thing Armor All makes that I like
Interior trim/plastic cleaner - Chemical Guys interior detailer... isn't greasy, won't cause glare on your dash, leaves a nice clean matte finish. Never use Armor All on your interior - please.

running it through the wash + all the quick hand detail work takes about 30 minutes if I hustle. truck looks practically showroom fresh after over 2 years. but I have a silver truck which makes keeping it looking new much easier :)
