    Hello from Oregon, upper left.
I ve owned Toyotas ever since I was able to get my agricultural provisional license when I turned 14. I started with a 86 one-ton flat bed with a 22re, which I still own (289,000 miles on my ol’ girl). Next up I treated myself to a 96 4Runner which now has over 315,000. Then I picked up a 98 t-100 followed by 96 first gen Tacoma which are both still in the driveway. In 2008 I was offered a 02 tacoma trd for a deal I couldn’t pass up, which I folded in half three years later. My wife started to get jealous of the time I spent with my toys, so I got her two of her own. She’s now driving a 2010 4Runner for class and a 02 corolla for gas. So now I’m maintaining and tuning a fleet of six Toyota rigs in between trips to sea on our commercial fishing vessel. It’s become an addiction I have no intentions of ever recovering from. Of all the love affairs I’ve had with my Toyotas and their engines, nothing can hold a candle to my 2.7 first gen Tacoma.

Welcome to the best Tacoma resource you'll ever find. If you use the search feature, you WILL find something on any topic, and practically any part, on a Tacoma. And somebody has tried/repaired/purchased/broken/improved/... everything.

I have two 1995.5s right now: one of each engine, otherwise identical (ext cab, 4x4, auto). Man, it's tough to say which is best, but I am fond of how easy the 2.7 is to work on. All that space!
