Just picked this CAADX up, she a fun bike!

I love mountain biking, but needed something to ride with the wife, since MTBing terrifies her, and we want to do more adventuring, bikepacking.

Surly Long Haul Trucker set up with Jones Bars and a nice wide Brooks saddle for comfortable firetrail riding

I have a similar Frankenbike, a little bit of everything on it......flared drop bar, ss x 2 (34/13 or 34/16 by moving tensioner), staggered wheelset, mech disc & a kickstand. Scored a cheap electric bike frame off ebay because it had disc mount and has had several different builds before this one. +8 on MTB first but riding around on the endless greenbelts out my door on any of those is just overkill and you look lost all geared out for sidewalks, lol......

But even the frankenbike wasn't what I really wanted for the greenbelts so I was fancying something else more appropriate.........like this - Scott Sub Speed10. It is my commuter/trekking monster. Came with rack/panniers/dynamo lighting. I have done some adjustments for my purposes. It is now my flip flop out the door tear up the greenbelts party bike. It has hydro discs, Alfine 8 IG hub/Alfine dynamo hub, Gates CDX belt drive setup. All kinds of bags to haul stuff or go cross country but here is the daily driver setup complete with strap on submersible Bluetooth speaker. I have embraced this intense casual cruising and love it for after work sunset rides around the lakes in the neighborhood. Between the loud af bell, the music and/or bright af LED lighting there is no need to speak to people to announce my passing. Bell cuts thru language and comprehension issues, gets ear bud wearers attention & sounds like ice cream truck. It is a different kind of blast to ride - not MTB but most fun on pavement one can have IMO........I don't play in streets so road bikes have cobwebs in spokes, lol.
