There is a deference between a car accedent and leaving a lit torch in your car. One is a accedent and one is negligence.

People's insurance companies pay out for them being drunk or on the phone etc and having accidents or killing people and those can be considered negligent.
Truck pics?!?!??? Hate this happened to ya. Glad no one was hurt or no other damages occurred. In for the part out or at least to see what ya got. I would love to get the kings but not in the budget and it looks as though I'm like #20 on the list already.

Is it too soon for pics? Was the fire contained to the cab or did it get past the firewall?
On the bright side I am coming out with 4Runner goodies:/

I’d love to see pics too. Guessing it wasn’t too bad if he’s able to pull parts off it. And was able to get his patches out. Either that or this is real fishy....

No patches were inside as the headliner sucks at holding them. It was burnt on the passenger side. The dash and such as well as the foot well was burned. Catching the main harness on fire. Knee air bag computer and the blower motor. Nothing fishy it was a accident. Tired of having to defend myself.

I explained everything to the company. Told them it was my fault. Was straight up honest with them. I hid nothing from them. And to be clear it was an ACCIDENT!!

Relax hoss, if you didn’t want comments maybe you shouldn’t of posted. Comments might of been a little different if you were driving and a fuel line disconnected and caught fire. You should of expected these kind of comments leaving a torch on in your truck.

Anyways glad no one was injured due to your neglence.

Not really HOSS! So a fuel line disconnected. Hmm how does that happen? Hmmm accident? Or negligence? If you forget to properly reconnect how's that different. Do you go to insurance company and say I forgot and they shouldn't pay? I'm over trying to defend myself. Accidents happen, I was willing to take the hit for it. If you cared to read all the pages. I just called them told them.what happened and they said they will take care of it. If I wanted to scam them I would've told them I have no idea what happened I was honest and this is where we are. Reading is fundamental!!

OP- sorry for the trouble. I get the accident part, couldn't have been good finding your truck on fire like that.

Telling your story on a public forum, there is bound to be people wondering about the chain of events.

Not saying your story isn't legit, just telling you what came to mind reading it

    I like my truck.

    I torched my truck.

    I bought a 4Runner.

On of these things is not like the others....one of these things does not belong.

Again, sorry for your trouble, good luck with the new ride.

“Hey guys I burnt up my taco! I left a torch on and now it’s totaled. I was honest with the insurance company! But... I was willing to pay over $30K just in case. It’s okay though... I’m buying a 4Runner! What do you guys think!”...

    Oh and no pics yet.

What the hell do you think people wouldn’t say weird stuff based off this situation? If you did it on accident, stop getting your panties all bunched up. You’ve already said countless times it was an accident so don’t try and defend yourself. This thread is about as pointless as a “What size tires can I run”.

    Yep.
Fuck @Braves95 , that sucks man.

No need to keep defending yourself. It's all out there, if people can't read, that's their problem.

Hope everything works out in the long run and you stick around Dave, enjoy that new hoe-runner .

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Good for you for being honest about what happened. Hope your rates don't go up (too much).
At least you were not doing stupid stunts out on a public road.
Your new 4runner looks nice --guessing you won't need the "truck" part of the Tacoma?
