UPDATE: The stuttering issue came back right after posting that last update about me solving the issue, it got significantly worse and still no CEL. I bought another Throttle Position Sensor, this being the second replacement, and the stutter has finally gone away (for now).

I also got some sliders made up and welded them on yesterday.

These are the only pictures I have of them. Super low profile, and tucked up out of the way. I need to get some better pictures, by the time I got them painted it was getting really dark out.

Planning a trip to the Rubicon to really test them out.
    Thats all for now.:anonymous:

Yeah shouldn't be too bad. Definitely not going all the way through. It'll probably just be to the Sluice from Loon and back Ill give you more info as it gets closer and we figure out more logistics and other trail possibilities if there is too much snow on the Con. youre totally welcome to join if you'd like

Let me know when you plan to go over summer. If I get an atlas in time I’ll see if I can go. I can’t run it until I get some gearing to slow me down. I already ran from wentworth springs entrance to loon lake on 33s and it was hell. Rode the clutch everywhere but it was a stock clutch so not as good as the marlin I put in. You should be good you’ve got more experience through it than me.

Hello again Tacomaworld! Its been a long time since ive posted anything here. Not many upgrades as I am still broke.... but a little update from the summer....

I bought a new toy, meaning no other upgrades to the taco. The new toy is a 2003 WR250, fun little single track ripper.
Towards the end of summer, I met up with my mom, dad, and brother in Moab. This was my dad's first time to Moab and he fell in love. This was also my dads last trip on the tiny 35s before he steps up to 40s.
The first few days we wheeled as part of an event the Red Rock 4Wheelers puts on every year. At the beginning of the first days, I got a lot of shit for bringing a Toyota to a "jeep" event, but by the end of the day, many compliments about the truck's abilities flowed, after it outperformed many of the jeeps on the run.

Here are a few pics from the trip...
And of course we had to run Top of the World. I like the juxtaposition of this picture, with the brand new Jeep JL with 600 miles on it, next to the nearly 20 year old truck with 190,000 miles on it. Both driven hard on the trail and road worthy enough to get us back to town.

As we parted ways (parents back to Denver, and me on the way back to Bend, OR) I got a chance to really test the new dirt bike.
And that about sums up what I was up to... Besides working, and fly fishing all over the Bend area. Now back to school for one more term. :anonymous:

Oh yeah, and I got a new Optima Yellowtop, the Walmart battery the truck came with finally died....

Well I graduated from OSU and moved back to Bend. So now the build can really progress

    ..... on my new project.

I picked up this 1988 4Runner, the deal was too good to pass up, clean title, pretty straight body, no rust, 22re and auto. I always wanted a first gen runner, and this rig will be much like the original SlowPanda.
The plan is to put the FZJ80 axles and duals in it, and put it on 40s.

I will keep "updating" this thread as I will keep the tacoma but it will be mainly an exploring/fishing/dirtbike hauler rig rather than a crawler like originally planned. I'll probably post any trips with either rig as well as 4runner progress on here too.

Thanks! Im excited to cut it up and start wheeling it. Ive been getting it road worthy for now, needs things like a new windshield, and new locks on the doors, the rear window needs to be rewired, small stuff.
