Oh yeah those are great soft cases. I used to do football commentary up on top of the press box and we’d switch out who’s on the camera, soundboard, etc. We had two Canon XH-A1’s going at the same time. They were in these nice soft Tamarac cases.

I’m familiar with the camera you have. It’s damn tiny, almost like a normal point and shoot. I wonder if they make fitted cases for it.

Yeah the case I have for my T4i is like that but unfortunately the smaller cameras don't usually get that. These cases are nice though and it would let him carry both lenses until he finds out what he primarily uses

I would carry both the telephoto and the standard range lens when I did sports photography. If I needed to get something up close in good detail it use the normal lens. When I needed to zoom in at like a player’s face at the 10 yard line, I’d switch to my long telephoto lens.

With all that pussy up in the trees, I think the telephoto is best for him.

Chances are he'll try both for a while and maybe end up buying another lens entirely.

When I took my camera to class and wanted to just take my camera and the attached lens inside my school backpack, I used one of these:

USA GEAR DSLR Camera Case/SLR Camera Sleeve (Gray) with Neoprene Protection, Holster Belt Loop and Accessory Storage - Compatible with Nikon D3400 / Canon EOS Rebel SL2 / Pentax K-70 & Many More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078YG79VB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ssnsCbS0SF2Y8

You have a really great camera. Those mirrorless ones are damn powerful for what it is.

I don’t want to give up my traditional DSLR just quite yet because I don’t really benefit from the smaller camera body.

Another thing I worry about is where I ordered it, it may or may not be an opened box return, supposed to have been checked out and passed, has 30 day return for cash thing too so that’s good.

Got it for a decent deal though

Seriously, 90% of those open box deals are just damaged packaging. I’ve bought lots of open box deals for computer and camera equipment and most of the time they just can’t sell it as new because a seal ripped or the box is dinged up.

Plano is equally as good. I noticed Plano is more used for firearms than Pelican. Pelican is used for sensitive equipment, cameras, stuff like that. Although Pelican sees plenty of firearm use.
