Why would you want 20” wheels on a taco trd off-road? Your severely limiting your tyre options, ability to air down without damaging rim, and also weight capacity on the truck.

Or are you planning to just drive this around town? If that’s the case get a rav4 or a mini van ;).

This will help you understand what you're trying to do.

explanation of terms, using a diagram.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wheel-backspacing-and-offset-info.102992/

    Stock Toyota wheel specs:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wheel-specs.30754/

Calculate Tire height, comparing two different sizes.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc

For the wheel size selection you are trying to get the inside edge of the wheel no closer to the upper control arm than the stock wheel.
For that you need to know the wheel width, and offset or backspacing distance.

For the tire selection you are trying to match the overall height as close as possible to the stock height.

Those two items will help ensure you are unlikely to have interference.
When all else fails, talk to a local tire/wheel retailer and let them know what you are trying to achieve, and they can help you.

the wheel is the wrong bolt pattern. Bolt pattern you need is 6 bolts, on a 139.7mm diameter circle = 6 x 139.7 EDIT: Correction 6x5.5 is the inch equivalent to 6 x139.7mm metric designation.

Look for Toyota specific as the preference is for a hub-centric wheel, that uses the machined wheel center to match the hub diameter on the truck. This centers the wheel more accurately than using the lug nut mounting to center the wheel.

as for the tire selection, check the overall height in comparison with your stock size. Also pay attention to the recommended wheel width in the tire specs for your desired tire width.

Not entirely correct. Yes your 6x139.7 is the right pattern, but it is the exact same as a 6x5.5 because 139.7mm is 5.5 inches. A 6x5.5 wheel will fit our trucks no problem. Although, as you stated, I would definitely try to find a hub centric wheel because that will help eliminate vibrations at higher speeds from the wheel not being perfectly centered.

You're welcome! Wasn't trying to be rude or anything, just so the OP knows what kind of selections he has
