    yup. I have a carriage bolt in the front center with a fender washer to bolt down through the bed. Carriage bolt used so they there is nothing to grab to undo it from the top.


    Also OP, consider getting a hose clamp for your tailgate so that cant be stolen as well.

    Camelback Toyota is one of the vendors on here, contact Gunny in the vendors section and have him get you a price. I know that when I got a price on one from him it was right near the price of that Westin one posted earlier. And it included shipping to my door.
    Do what the earlier poster recommended and bolt it down, that’s what I did. Thieves suck!

    I think I read the story hear on TacomaWorld about a guy who got tired of people steeling things out of his bed so. When he changed his oil he would put the old oil back in the bottles, bottles back into the box and tape box closed then put box in his bed and guess what? He did not have to dispose of the old oil some nice fool did it for him.

    I thought about doing this with some used tires except drill multiple small holes in the sidewalls.

    Thieves are getting desperate, Where I live used to be a good neighborhood. About two years ago I start seeing homeless camps popping up, The tweaker kind. Then I start hearing stories from my neighbors about things getting stolen. Now everybody who has something to lose Is putting up surveillance cameras.
