    Sounds good to me!
Just a little over 200 miles apart. Not too bad.

I got a little nervous today driving my atv, went out on some trails and found the gut pile of an elk, all that was left was 4 hooves, skin and guts. The skin was all laid out like a blanket, hair down. I know it was poached even for tribal members...but whatever. Im just glad I didnt stumble in on them skinning/gutting it etc..

Thanks! I've only found 3 matching sets. That's by far the biggest.

Also, welcome to TW from a fellow Missourian!

My second matching set - found in 2013 about 10' max away from each other. That isn't me either, gave them to this guy who wanted to make something for a good friend dying of cancer. Truth or not, I don't know. The other 2 drops were the following year. First matched set was 3' apart with blood on the pedicles (I think that is what the bases are called) under a hemlock about 20' from a house.IMGP0687.jpg IMGP1179.jpg

The big ones were fresh drops from that season, but lots of critters around to gnaw on them

Thank you for the warm welcome! I started shed hunting in 2015. Haven't found one yet but being out there has helped me plan for the next season.

Once you start finding a few you won’t be able to wait to get back out there to find some more. I started looking for sheds about 25 years ago and I still get a charge when I find one...even the little ones!!

The big 8's. I believe I remember that you really like them.
I've got one I've had on camera for 2 years. I still can't find any of his sheds.20181027_205723.jpg

Its dumb luck if I find one...so much ground to cover and other people searching as well. I did find one during hunting season a couple years ago. People had walked right by it as evidence by their tracks. I walked over a log and there it was a little 4pt

Drove around Illinois this afternoon. Me and a buddy go over there at least once a week when I'm not hunting and just roam the backroads. We have a clicker thing like umpires use that we count deer with. The most we have ever seen in one day was 227. (We have been doing this for 20 years). Today we saw 242. We saw lots of bucks and did not see any that were missing just one antler. That is not to say that we didn't see any that were missing both. I guess what I'm trying to say is every deer that we knew for sure was a buck, had both sides. Gonna postpone any shed hunting for a week or two. Unless I get bored.
