Lol not so much input as trying to learn, it is habit ask the pro in the field to explain how something broke . Many of the pros in their field here can tell you that lol cause I have asked them questions ;)

BTW, update to my earlier post.. Forecasters were right, at least for the morning.. 50Kt winds, lightning popping, trees swirling around.. Of course all this right at the time I feed the horses and get in the truck to go into work!! Feel like I got tossed in a washing machine and missed the damn dryer! Now I have to sit here at work in wet jeans all morning... SUCKS!!

They started doing the same thing here a few months ago. Now we have NO ONE (except me) who was here in a management role at this time last year. No one knows what to do next. They even had me sit in on a wedding planning meeting 3 weeks ago....because no one else knew where the band could plug in their equipment.

We have NO ONE on staff who knows how to start up the swimming pool. Not even the General Manager. I see me spending much of my time out there this spring.

It will be a long summer. Experience is not appreciated by todays "We know EVERYTHING" young people....until they realize they're in over their heads.

Usually no, but today I have contractors coming in to put some conduit between buildings, gives Tim and I an excuse to wear jeans since we will be climbing around in comm closets....

I have to wear a jacket and tie, when on site. Yet another reason I like working from home as much as I do. When I first started we had to rack our own servers in the data center, wearing a suit. One of the first servers I did the slides didn't want to line up so I did the typical pit snipe thing and pushed on it, harder. Ball bearings went flying everywhere. That was almost 20 years ago. Been almost 20 years since had to rack a server, we have a dedicated team to do it and cable management in part thanks to me LOL. And another infrastructure team from networks to handle that side of the house.

Always felt a tie hanging from the neck was a hazard when working on machinery of any kind and mine might have ended up in my pocket more times than not. I also believe a tie is a hazard to the brain as it restricts blood flow and reduces mental capacity. At least that is my theory :anonymous:
