How much will a locker help? My mechanical limited slip has done pretty well even in offroad hill climbs and ruts as long as I keep moving

It will change everything. It's when tires leave the ground that it makes the rear difference.

Hit some rough patches where she struggled but never got stuck. I attributed this to not having any weight in the bed, would’ve helped with some sand bags back there. I did some research on TW of other 2WDs driving in snow. Tried 10psi and turned on the LSD, worked like a charm. I don’t know if I would go down to 10psi again, since we weren’t completely in snow the whole way through the trail, hit some deep mud puddles which shook one of the tires right off the wheel lol. Live and learn. It was a great learning experience of how capable 2WD still is. Well worth having to change out to a spare.

But it conquered the snow without a locker, I can only imagine how much easier it would’ve been with it.

    So much fun.

Wanted to introduce myself... I’ve been reading this thread for awhile trying to catch up and finally did. My names Marcus and I live in College Station, Tx.

So I haven’t been able to find an answer to this searching the threads, which arguably I’m not the best at however... I’m looking at getting a Leer 100R camper shell. How does it mount on the bed rails with the gap in the front and the tailgate? I’ve never been able to get a good seal with my bed cover even using the supplied gap seal.

Gotta love Prerunners. Some days we're on top of the world pulling cars out of ice filled ditches and some days you're outside your local body repair shop cause you slipped back down a slick trail cause you lost momentum and smacked a white oak. Wouldn't change it though.

Anyone from around Augusta, GA or North Augusta, SC?

Born and raised in Augusta, GA but stationed at Camp Lejeune and currently forward deployed. Traveled to about every corner of the U.S. except the Midwest but I'm a warm weather dude so I'll pass for now.

Got my 2015 with 9,000 miles for $28,500 back in 2016. My first Tacoma and first "adult" purchase when I turned 20 so I'm proud of it!
